An intimate practice, by design.
Kindred Souls Care was founded in Los Angeles as a deliberate counterpoint to the agency model. We watched families cycle through rotating caregivers, scripted call centers, and care plans printed from a template — and decided to build something quieter, smaller, and more accountable.
We keep our practice deliberately small across LA County. We hand-draft every care plan. We assign one care lead per family and keep them in place for years, not weeks. The goal isn't to be the largest in-home care provider in the city — it's to be the one family physicians, neurologists, and trusted friends point to when the situation is delicate.
Caregivers join the practice through invitation and referral, not job boards. Each one is licensed, background-checked, and trained in the specialties we focus on — memory care, mental health caregiving, and elder companionship. They tend to stay. So do the families.
Four commitments we won't bend on.
Most agencies grow by adding caregivers. We grow by deepening the relationship with each family we already serve. Here's what that looks like in practice.
The concierge match
A vetted, hand-paired team for each family. You meet your two named caregivers before day one — never a rotating crew.
One plan, one care lead
A single care lead writes your plan, attends doctor visits, and is the only number you call. No call center. No handoffs. No retelling the story.
The quiet standard
Calm, low-stimulation visits. No clipboards in the living room, no jargon with families, no rushed routines. Care should feel like a private practice — not a service call.
Rooted in Los Angeles
Every caregiver lives within 25 minutes of the client. We cap our service radius rather than overextend, so traffic, weather, and last-minute calls are never a barrier to showing up.
Letters from the families we serve.
We don't run testimonial campaigns. These are unedited notes from the families who let us into their homes — the only review that matters to us.
"Kindred Souls Care gave my mother her dignity back. Her caregiver knows her favorite stories and her favorite tea. It's the difference between care and family."
"Navigating dad's dementia diagnosis was overwhelming. Their team didn't just show up — they listened, planned, and walked beside us every week."
"The caregivers truly understand mental health. My brother feels seen, safe, and supported. I finally sleep through the night again."
"After mom's hospital stay, Kindred Souls Care handled everything — medications, mobility, even her sense of humor. We felt held, not handed off."
"Our caregiver shows up like family. She knows when grandma needs quiet, when she needs music, and when she just needs a hand to hold."
"Mom's caregiver learned her gospel playlist by week two. She hums along while she helps with breakfast — small thing, but it changed everything."
"I live three states away. The weekly care notes and quick texts mean I always know how dad's doing. That peace of mind is everything."
"After my stroke I was scared to be alone. My caregiver helped me trust my body again — and my home — one careful step at a time."
"We needed overnight help fast. Kindred Souls Care had a trained, gentle caregiver in our home within 24 hours. No drama, just care."
"My grandmother has Alzheimer's. The team meets her where she is each day — never correcting, always kind. It's a quiet kind of love."
"Hospice was the hardest season of our lives. Their caregiver brought calm, presence, and dignity to dad's final weeks. We're forever grateful."
"Respite care saved me. For the first time in two years I slept eight hours, knowing mom was safe and laughing with someone she trusted."
"Their care manager built a plan that finally made sense — meds, meals, therapy, all in one place. I stopped drowning in spreadsheets."
"My anxiety used to keep me housebound. Having a steady, kind caregiver three days a week pulled me back into my own life."
"After dad's Parkinson's progressed, falls were our biggest fear. Their team mobility-proofed the house and trained him gently — no falls in 14 months."
"The caregiver matching is uncanny. Mom and her caregiver bonded over old movies the very first day. It feels like she found a friend."
"Transparent billing, real humans on the phone, and caregivers who actually care. After three other agencies, Kindred Souls Care is the one that stuck."
"They didn't just care for my husband — they cared for me too. The care manager checked in on me the way a friend would. I needed that."
